AI Technology and Smart Platform
Farmtopia’s AI Technology and Smart Platform, implemented as the mini program shown in the figures, builds a closed loop between greenhouse IoT data and machine learning models for both precision cultivation and crop selection.
On the side of “how to plant”, the Intelligent Execution Monitor receives streams of sensor data from light, temperature, humidity, CO₂ and soil probes, together with actuator states for ventilation, shading and irrigation.
AI Planting Advisor
On the side of “what to plant”, the AI Planting Advisor integrates multi-modal data sources, including historical climate and 24 Solar Terms calendars, soil nutrient profiles, past yield records, and external market price and demand series.
Time series models such as recurrent neural networks and temporal convolutional networks extract dynamic patterns from weather and price sequences, while tree-based ensembles capture nonlinear interactions among soil, management practices and crop type. These models generate probabilistic forecasts of yield and revenue for each candidate crop in the coming season.
